Patagonian Fields at El Chalten

Due to the increasing popularity of Patagonia, El Chalten went from nonexistant to one of the most popular hiking towns in the country. Our visit occurred during the offseason, where half the town was already getting ready for the high season by building new homes and roads.

After completing our second hike, the Cerro Torre trail, where we came around the lumpy mountain in the back, we stumbled into this impromptu petting zoo of sorts.

Apparently, no one told the animals there’d be visitors.

Your shadows are taller so close to the south pole.
I could play in these Patagonians fields forever.
