En Route to El Chalten

Even cats have tall shadows in Patagonia.

A roadside cafe with nothing else in sight for miles along La Cuarenta (Highway 40).

Woman bottle-feeding a baby guanaco, a camelid animal similar to the llama that is native to South America.

Legend has it that Butch Cassidy hid out in Hotel La Leona during his South American shenanigans.

Upon first sight, this reminded me of the town in Edward Scissorhands.

Our hostel was the yellow building in the back. It was the only accommodation still open for the offseason.

My faithful hiking stick leaned against the Rancho Grande hostel.
